Paul Forest Rapp
Paul Forest Rapp, 89, of Nevada, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Christian Health Care, in Nevada, following a lengthy illness. He was born June 25, 1918, in Nevada, to Daniel Anthony Rapp and Ella Mae Pace Rapp. He married Anna Mae Compton, on May 24, 1940, in Fort Scott, and she survives of the home.
Paul was a lifelong resident of Vernon County. He attended school in Virgil City, Mo. He worked for many years at MFA, in Nevada, O'Sullivan's, Nevada State Hospital, and retired from Peerless in 1981. He was a member of the I.O.O.F Club and enjoyed fishing and camping.
Survivors in addition to his wife Anna Mae, inlude one son, Richard D. Rapp and his wife Mena, Hawthorne, Calif.; six daughters, Elizabeth M. Bozworth, Carol Heathman, Sandra Burdick and her husband Richard, and Pauline Rapp, all of Nevada, Judy Collins, of Lockwood, Mo., and Delores Russell and her husband Jim, of Sheldon; nine grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Orville Rapp; three sisters, Sadie Spillman, Elsie Carlat and Dollie Howell, and two son-in-laws Jesse Bozworth and Denny Collins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Monday March 3, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with pastor Marty Compton officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, in Milo. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home and may also visit at the family home.
