Donations collected in the way of clothing and provisions at the public schools today resulted in a considerable amount. It was not uncommon to see a boy or girl trudging along towards school with a bundle of clothing or a basket containing an apple or potato for every year old the youngster happened to be. It is a great idea to inoculate the spirit of charity into the minds of the young in this manner. The children responded liberally and deserve praise. The teachers will see that the donations reach the proper places.
