Christmas concert at Liberty Theatre

Christian Concert Series is presenting a Christmas concert beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at the Liberty Theatre in Fort Scott.

Two groups will be featured during this concert. The Community Christian Church Band from Community Christian Church in Fort Scott will perform in this special concert. Led by musician Dusty Drake, the band has performed in various venues including the downtown summer concerts, community worship events, and other gatherings of community interests.

The group 3 Rusty Nails will also be performing. This is a southern gospel style trio led by musician Lloyd Houk of Moran. This group has been together for several years performing in a variety of venues including concerts, worship services, and community events. The 3 Rusty Nails have been growing in popularity and have become well know across southeastern Kansas.

Both groups are knows for their quality of music and for their heart for ministry. They will be performing a blend of Christmas and Christian music of various styles and arrangements.

"This is not a concert you will want to miss," said Steve Bell, speaking for Christian Concert Series. "The music will be of the highest quality, encouraging, and clear in highlighting the reason we celebrate Christmas. I believe it will set the tone for the rest of the Christmas season."

Admission to the concert will be $3 for lower level seating and $2 for balcony seating. Tickets are available at the Country Cupboard and will cover the cost of the concert. A free will offering will be received at the concert to be divided between to two performing groups.
