LaDee Tyler, 76, of La Junta, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2007. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 26, 2007 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend M.J. Romano officiating. Graveside services will be in Braman, Okla., on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 10 a.m.

LaDee was born in Braman, Okla., on May 8, 1931 to Charles and Lovetta Corbett. She married Wayne Tyler on August 19, 1950 in Hutchinson, Kansas.

LaDee graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1949 and she received her bachelor's degree from Pittsburg State in Pittsburg, Kansas, and her masters degree from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla. She enjoyed teaching elementary school and reading for 25 years in Oklahoma. LaDee was very active in Home Demonstration Clubs, Democratic Political party as a campaign manager and local volunteer, local teachers association, and church activities. She also was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in La Junta, Colo.

LaDee enjoyed art lessons, she also collected figurines, collected Blue Ridge pottery, and enjoyed reading and she was a reading specialist.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Wayne of the La Junta home; daughters, Lindy (Ron) Bay of La Junta; Diana (Steve) Didier of Paola, Kan.; sister, Artie (Bill) Harris of Sweetwater, Texas; grandchildren, David (Bethany) Weaver of Tulsa, Okla.; Todd (Lauren) Weaver of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Cory (April) Bay of Knoxville, Tenn.; Stephanie (Bryce) of Olathe, Kan.; Katie Didier of Paola, Kan.

LaDee was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles.
