June Edna Tice
June Edna Tice, 88, of Fort Scott, died Friday evening, Sept. 7, 2007 at the Medicalodge Nursing Home. She was born on June 10, 1919, in Reedsburg, Wis., the daughter of Henry Ferdinand and Isabelle Myrtle Yorton Clark. She married William Fleet Tice, Sr. on June 21, 1941 in Eau Claire, Wis. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2003.
She was a member of the First Wesleyan Church of Bossier City, Louisiana and attended the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Scott since moving to Fort Scott. June is survived by a son, William Fleet Tice Jr. and wife, Betty of Bossier City, La., three daughters, Pamela Jeanne Allen and husband, the Rev. Duaine of Wellsboro, Pa.; Deborah Susan Brackett and husband, Rev. James of Healy, Kan.; and Emily Ann Turner and husband, Gregory of Fort Scott, Kan.; a brother Rev. Yorton Clark of Olathe, Kan.; 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, William Fleet Tice Sr., she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Rev. Edward Clark and Rev. Henry Clark.
The Rev. Steve MacArthur conducted funeral services for June Tice at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at the First Presbyterian Church. Burial was at the Evergreen Cemetery.
The family received friends from 7-8 p.m. on Sunday evening at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
