Morning accident in Fort Scott

Fort Scott City Fire personnel and other first responders strap Fort Scott resident Mike Larrabee to a gurney after Larrabee was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the corner of East National Avenue and Margrave. Larrabee was transported to Mercy Health Center with as-yet undetermined injuries. Larrabee, a passenger in a southbound 2000 Plymouth Breeze driven by Fort Scott resident Rick DeAntoni, was injured when the driver of an eastbound 2007 Nissan Altima with a Missouri license plate ran a stop sign at the intersection of East National Avenue and Margrave, broadsiding the passenger side of the vehicle DeAntoni was driving. The name of the driver of the Altima is not yet known. DeAntoni appeared at first to not be injured, then complained of lower back pain and stiffness and was transported later to Mercy Health Center for treatment.
