Patricia Joan Alvarado

Patricia Joan Alvarado, 75 of Pittsburg, Kan., died at 4:32 a.m., Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kan.

Patricia was born Dec. 3, 1931 in Pittsburgh, Penn., to Albert L. and Anna R. Bennette Coulter. She attended schools in California.

On Oct. 12, 1962, in Los Angeles, Calif., she married Richard C. Alvarado, Sr. He survives at the home.

While in California, she was a private care giver for 10 years.

She has lived in the Crawford County for the last 5 years.

Additional survivors include her sons Richard C. Alvarado, Jr. and his wife Linda of Fort Scott, Kan., and Robert Alvarado and his wife Michelle of Arcadia, Kan.; daughters Elena Alvarado of West Covina, Calif.; Jeannette Kipp of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Victoria Anthes of St. Charles, Mo.; along with 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son Mark Alvarado.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway in Pittsburg with the Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow in Fort Scott National Cemetery in Fort Scott, Kan. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may call the funeral home after 3 p.m. on Wednesday. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg.
