Tina B. Lewis
Tina B. Lewis, 38 of Iola, Kan., passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.
She was born June 14, 1969, at Fort Scott Kan., the daughter of Britt Edward Lewis and Mary Lee Stewart. She attended Moran schools up until her senior year, then moved to Iola, graduating for the Iola High School Class of 1987. Tina attended Allen County Community College a Iola and from there she worked at various places in Iola. She belonged to the Pipeliner's Union Local #798 for the past 10 years. She grew up in the Bronson area and traveled with her father to all states including Alaska working on the pipeline.
Tina loved to fish and loved wildlife; she had a collection of rocks from various states, and was a member of Xenia Baptist Church, Xenia, Kan.
She married Clifford Karr of LaHarpe, Kan., and this union was blessed with one son, Dalton.
Tina was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walt and Loretta Lewis; her grandfather, Mel Stewart; and three uncles, Doyle Lewis, George Lewis and Walt Lewis, Jr.
She is survived by her son, Dalton Karr, who resides with his father in LaHarpe, Kan.; one sister, Lisa Tice of Gas, Kan.; two brothers, Jason Lewis of Fort Worth, Texas, and Ed Wayne of Blue Mound, Kan.; her mother, Mary L. Stotler and Van Michael of Iola, Kan., her father, Britt Edward Lewis and Ann of Bronson, Kan.; a grandmother, Florine Stewart of Bronson, Kan.; two nephews, Gavin Tice of Gas, Kan, and Jarren Lewis of Chanute, Kan.; a niece, Jacey Lewis of Chanute, Kan.; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007 at the Moran Christian Church, Moran, Kan. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Moran, Kan.
Burial to follow at the Bronson Cemetery, Bronson, Kan.
