Traveling to, from the northwest scott area

Thursday, Aug. 9, Fred and Eloise Wright traveled with bale and Betty Hixon to Mound City to Jayhawk Inn, where they met several other members of the Gold Wing Club, from Pleasanton, Prescott, Mound City, and Butler. They enjoyed visiting and eating supper together. There were 18 members present.

The Bradley family reunion was held recently. Those meeting together were, Charles and Jean Bradley. Kay Payne, and Darrell Bloomfield, Kevin Roberts. from the Fort Scott area, Ralph and Joanne Bradley, and Bernice Bradley of Cottonwood Falls, Kan., Wes Payne Pittsburg, Geoffrey Payne and Mary from Florida, Mark Bradley and daughter. Joy Reeves Belton, Mo., David and Jonna Bradley, Ben, Erica and Jessica Fairgrove, Mo.

Ronette and Linda Center traveled to Nevada, Mo., to attend the funeral service of Jamie Pippin.

Wayne and Marge Stringer enjoyed camping out at Grand Lake, Okla. Joining them were their son Randy and Valerie Stringer, Bartlesville, Okla., their grandchildren, Ryan and Jennifer Boggs, Madisyn and Wyatt, and Marliss Allen.

Jake and Leota Karleskint, Cleveland, visited family here, including Tony and Buena Karleskint, July 23 and 24.

The King family held a reunion at the home of Joyce Anthony. Those attending from this area were, Charles and Jean Bradley, Kay Payne, Jerry Russell, Judy King and Lucy Love. Nancy and Loren Durbin Bucyrus, Mo., and Gerald and Julia Stillwell, Mountain Grove, Mo.

The Karleskint family reunion was held on Saturday, Aug. 4. Some of those attending were Jim and Dee Karleskint, Topeka, Kathy and Ron Higgins, Tulsa, Mary Jo and Robbie Clements, Willard. Pat and Mike Worford, Springfield. Sister Bernodette and Sister Barbara both of St. Louis, Sister Alfreda, Wichita, Loretta Karleskint and her daughter Johanna and Johanna's son Seth, North Carolina. Some from this area were. Tony and Buena Karleskint, Sue and Jerry Midfelt. Lawrence and Millie Karleskint, Jack and Gina Karleskint, Lawrence and Millie Karleskint. There were several from the Miami and Tulsa, Okla., area here also.

Charles and Jean Bradley, Pastor Paul Rooks from this area attended the marriage reception of Mr. and Mrs. Ray O'Dell.

Sunday, Mr. And Mrs. Doug Harris and Hannah, Hepler, Larry and Beverly Peel brought pizza and bread sticks and joined Beverly's mother, Marjorie Lewis for lunch. Hannah brought all of her ribbons she received at the Crawford County Fair. She had nine grand champions, seven reserve champions, a purple on her scrapbook, which will now go on to the state fair.

She received a total of nine plaques with gold plates stating what her reward were for. All of Hannah's family is very proud of her and the hard work she put in to receive this many awards. We want to add our congratulations to Hannah also. Way to go girl, keep it up!

Joe and Shirley White and Joe's parents, Earl and Laurel White, Prescott, traveled to Pomme de Terre. They visited with Hoe's sister, Patty and Garyl Coleman who were camping there. Earl helped build Pomme de Terre and this was his first trip back. They enjoyed a steak supper Tuesday evening and had breakfast with them Wednesday morning before returning home.

Sunday, Janet Keefer, Carol Carter and Nancy Tweedy of Lenexa, visited with Carney and Estalee Simpson and brought a video of the Simpson's granddaughter Alyssa's wedding for them to see.

Saturday, Aug. 11, Marge Stephan attended a wedding shower for her grandson, Dru Stephan and Jessica Shadden at the home of Mike and Melody Knopp.

August 8, Ronette and Linda Center traveled to Kansas City.

David Lewis, Sofe, Maddie and Kate, Overland Park, spent Friday night and Saturday with David's grandmother, Marjorie Lewis. They spent Saturday night with David's parents, Mr. And Mrs. Bill Lewis.

Joe and Shirley White have moved. There new address is 2069 Highway 54. Joe's parents, Earl and Laurel White, Prescott brought supper to them Monday evening. Shirley reports they are moved, but are not unpacked completely yet. Thank you, Joe and Shirley, for staying in our neighborhood.

Saturday, Aug. 11, Mr. And Mrs. Ron Lewis and their grandchildren, Abby and Grant Tate, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Peel, Kitty Lewis, Mr. And Mrs. Bill Lewis, Lisa Lewis Taelor and a friend, David Lewis and daughters, Sofe, Maddie and Kate, Overland Park, attended a surprise supper at the home of Jim and Jeannie Comstock in honor of the Comstock's 40th wedding anniversary. The Comstock's three children and family were also present.

There was a total of 40 present. The Comstock's took advantage of all of their family being here and had family pictures taken earlier Saturday.

They had a wonderful cookout topped off with homemade ice cream and three birthday cakes, as they celebrated the birthdays of three family members also.

Sunday, Joe and Shirley White enjoyed lunch at the home of their daughter.

Mr. And Mrs. John Whitehead. Joining them was John's sister and family from PN.

Friday evening, Aug. 10, Ron, Linda, Scott and James Center traveled to Joplin. They enjoyed eating supper out and did some shopping while there too.
