Kenneth Leon Strother

Kenneth Leon Strother, 71 of Uniontown, Kansas, died Wednesday evening, June 27, 2007, at his home.

He was born August 7, 1935, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Clellan Erwin and Edna Elizabeth (Elam) Strother.

He married Evelyn M. Stephens December 13, 1973, in Silver Lake, Kansas. She survives of the home.

Kenneth served in the U.S. Navy in Search and Rescue. He was a former Fulton Bearcat, and he was an avid sportsman.

He worked as a Barber for many years until his retirement, and was a certified Master Barber.

In addition to his wife, Evelyn, Kenneth is survived by his children; Joe Strother, Ponca City, Okla., David Strother, Robert Strother, Oklahoma City, Okla., Tonya Davis, Chanute, Kan., Linda Noll, Uniontown, Kan., Steve Shepard, Uniontown, Kan., and Rochelle Eden, Fort Scott, Kan., a brother; Edward Strother, Fulton, Kan., two sisters; Frances Marsh, Fulton, Kan., and Janet McBroom, Leavenworth, Kan., and twenty-six grandchildren.

Following cremation, George Harned will officiate graveside services at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at the U.S. National Cemetery No. 1 in Fort Scott.

Friends and Family will meet out at the cemetery.
