Disc golf league begins play Tuesday at Gunn Park

The Fort Scott Disc Golf Club will begin league play Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Gunn Park and is still looking for anyone interested in playing.

The league will be held Tuesday evenings at 5:30 and Saturdays at noon on the Gunn Park disc golf course. Anyone who is interested in participating and has questions about the league or the game itself is encouraged to call (620) 719-6828.

Fort Scott High soccer camp to be held next week

Dave Gray, Fort Scott High School head soccer coach, announced Monday that the Tiger Soccer Camp will be held at Ellis Park next week.

The camp is for any boy or girl interested in playing for FSHS this fall. Camp will be held June 11-15 from 5 to 7 p.m. each evening at Ellis Park's soccer field on Williams Street.

The camp fee is $10, which includes a T-shirt.

Fast-pitch softball tournament at Chanute June 9-10

CHANUTE -- A girls' fast-pitch softball tournament will be held here June 9 and 10. There will be divisions for 10-and-under, 12-and-under and 14-and-under players. The entry fee is $100 with a three-game guarantee. Registration deadline is June 1.

The first-place teams in each division will receive a trophy and the top three teams will receive team medals.
