Physicals conducted at FSHS May 18

Physicals for the 2007-08 school year will be conducted at Fort Scott High School May 18 in the gymnasium from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. These physicals, required by the Kansas State High School Activities Association, will cover all activities for the 2007-08 year.

Baker Clinic, New Century Orthopedics, SEK Physical Threapy and SEK Urgent Care will be on hand as will Dana McKenney, Lynieta Leisure and Jan Borke, ARNPs.

The cost of the fee is $10, which will be turned back to the athletic programs by the groups conducting the physicals to be used for the benefit of the students.

Students who are not currently enrolled in a physical education class can take the physical with a teacher's permission. Interested students can pick up the form at the high school office before May 18. The form must be signed by a parent or guardian before the exam will be given.

Hume hosts dodgeball tourney Saturday

HUME, Mo. -- The First Annual Hume High School Dodgeball Tournament will be held May 12 at the Hume High School gym.

Teams may be co-ed but must be comprised of students in grades 7-12. Each match will start with six players on the court.

The tournament will be a round robin with the number of games based on the number of teams participating. T-shirts will be awarded to the first-place team based on won-loss record.

A registration fee of $50 is due by May 10.
