An outstanding program in every respect was the verdict of the 150 people who attended the Achievement Day exercises of the Northeast Scott 4-H Club which was held at the Maple Grove School to celebrate the completion of the sixth successful year of the club. The meeting was called to order by the president, Robert Pease. The secretary, Waneta Twell, called the roll and 56 members responded by naming their projects and telling what profit they had made. A telegram of congratulations was received from Albert Pease, a former leader who now attends Kansas State College. Community leader Mrs. Kenneth A. Cochran handed out checks amounting to $54 won by members at the recent dairy show in Fort Scott. Helen Johnson and Samuel Huber Jr. sang, "Baby, Your Mother," in a winning manner.

Sloan farm in Irish Valley on the Osage River. The item should have stated that the yield on a test plot was 138 bushels an acre, but it was made to read 183 bushels.
