Long awaited Horton Street repairs now underway

Work began Monday on an approximately $2 million project to make improvements on Horton Street between Sixth and 18th streets, one of three large infrastructure improvement projects on the city’s slate in the coming years. On Monday, Heck & Wicker, Inc. of Parsons, the contractor for the project, began placing barricades in areas where work is to be completed.
