Bourbon County Commissioners on Tuesday night took action to support continued health care services – including a potential emergency room – in the county. Commissioners approved three separate motions by Commissioner Clifton Beth; to allow Commission Chairman Jim Harris to sign a memorandum of understanding between the commission and Amberwell Health, Inc., regarding collaboration between the two entities on emergency health services; to allow county officials to begin the process of putting a half-cent sales tax on the ballot for subsidizing an ER and other health services; and to allow the three commissioners to sign an agreement for donation of emergency room equipment owned by Ascension Via Christi, which ceased its emergency room services in the former Mercy Hospital building on Dec. ... -
