Greyhound hoopsters return to court

Fort Scott Community College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams returned to the hardwood for regular competition Saturday after the National Junior College Athletic Association pushed back the start of sports competition to January. The Greyhound men, who were 18-12 overall and 5-5 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II last season, will include three key returning starters; 5’8” guard Peter Simon, who averaged 6.1 points per game and 2.1 assists per game in 2019-20; 6’3” guard Justus Mouton (Katy, Texas) and 6’5” forward Gannon Kenney (Stockton, Mo.) Two Fort Scott Community College runners qualified for nationals during the Washburn All-Kansas Invite Saturday in Topeka.
