Residents continue to express concerns about wind farms in Bourbon County. On Tuesday, Rachel Martin said she is not an “activist” and she stays out of politics. “I have a very ‘live and let live’ mentality. That’s the way I approach life,” she said. She said when she first heard about the wind farm, she thought, “Well, I don’t care. They’re not on my land.”...

The FSHS Lady Tiger varsity basketball team’s three-game winning streak was snapped with a 55-34 loss to the Chanute Lady Blue Comets Friday night in Chanute. Behind effective three-point shooting and defensive pressure, the Lady Blue Comets controlled much of the contest, leading 15-10 after the first quarter, 29-17 at halftime and 45-23 after three quarters of play. Chanute hit eight three-pointers in the game, including two for Chanute’s leading scorer, Kori Babcock, in the first quarter...
