Damage totals enough for state, federal public assistance

The Bourbon County Commissioners learned Tuesday the county sustained more than enough damage to meet the required limit for state and federal public disaster assistance. The county’s threshold for qualifying for public assistance is $57,000. USD 234 administrators on Tuesday received feedback and provided more data on a proposed policy for drug testing students at Fort Scott Middle School and Fort Scott High School.
