Tiger boys edge Rams; girls trounced in first round tourney play

The Fort Scott High School Tiger basketball teams split a doubleheader Thursday in the opening round of the Kansas Army National Guard invitational tournament in Frontenac. The Tigers boys’ 54-47 win over the top-seeded Riverton Rams (6-4) will send them to the semifinals to play either the Nevada Tigers or Pacific Indians at 4 p.m. Friday.
