HUTCHINSON — Fort Scott junior Lauren Madison finished in a medalist’s position at the Class 4A State Golf Tournament at Carey Park here Tuesday, a day later than scheduled due to a wet course caused by storms in the area on Sunday. Madison, who won the Independence Class 4A Regional a week ago, shot 45 on the front nine and 41 on the back to finish with a total of 86 strokes. This was her third appearance in a State Tournament.
