Uniontown's boys will have a first-round home game in their own Class 2A Sub-State Basketball Tournament next week while Eagle girls will have to start out on the road. The boys' 14-6 record gives them the No. 4 seed in a Sub-State in which five teams are at .500 or better. They will face No. 5 Three Rivers League rival Oswego (10-10) at 7 p.m. Monday night at the West Bourbon Elementary gymnasium...

PARSONS -- Fort Scott High School's basketball teams split their final doubleheader of the regular season here Friday night. Tiger girls defeated Parsons 42-36 in Southeast Kansas League play while the boys lost 77-67. Fort Scott's girls (6-6 SEK, 8-12 overall) saw Madison Cook go 8-for-8 at the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to help secure the win. ...
