Marjorie Dena Lawhead, age 88, a resident of Canon City, Colo., passed away Monday, Aug. 19, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Dec. 5, 1927, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Levi and Elnora Thompson. She married Cash Lawhead, Oct. 4, 1947, in Yuma Ariz. He preceded her in death March 10, 1992...

William V. "Willie" Smith, 91, of Moran, Kan., passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at the Allen County Regional Hospital. Willie was born Jan. 3, 1925, on a farm southeast of Savonburg, Kan., the son of Emmitt Robert and Anna Myrtle (Gemmill) Smith. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Savonburg High School in 1943. ...
