Court says man accused in 11-year-old murder case not mentally competent

The court has deemed 27-year-old Kohlby Freeze, jailed on charges connected to a 2004 murder, not mentally competent to stand trial. During a brief competency hearing Monday in Bourbon County District Court, District Chief Judge Amy Harth and attorneys in the case discussed a motion filed May 12 dealing with Freeze's competency and mental state in moving forward with the 11-year-old case.
