The Bourbon County Commissioners took a field trip Tuesday to see what work needs to be done in a ditch at the Fort Scott Industrial Park. They met with Kevin "Skitch" Allen, who has been asking for something to be done for several months. Art room ceiling tiles looking for forever homes

Some artistic mementos at Fort Scott High School will soon need a home. Ellen Kendrick, art teacher at FSHS, said she is looking to contact former art students to claim works of art they created on ceiling tiles in the art classroom, which has long been located in the old Juco wing -- the three-story structure on the campus. The Juco wing is slated for demolition this summer as part of the approved USD 234 school bond issue to make district-wide improvements...
