Mary Alice Wescoat, 93, of Fort Scott, died Wednesday morning, April 15, 2015 at the Fort Scott Manor Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements for Mary Wescoat are incomplete and will be announced later by the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.

Shirley Doerfler, age 85, a resident of Fort Scott, Kansas, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at her home. She was born June 18, 1929, in Fort Scott, the daughter of Clyde Snyder and Frances Helen King Snyder. She married Donald J. Doerfler on Nov. 5, 1950, at Huntsville, Ark. Beloved husband and father SFC Orville D. Clarida of Springfield, Mo., died April 11, 2015 at age 91. Orville was born at home near Irwin, Barton County, Mo., July 1, 1923, the son of Milo and Minnie (Greer) Clarida. Orville attended Fort Scott High School, where he lettered in football. ...
