Shirley Jeanne Julian, age 71, was reunited with her soul mate Oct. 1, 2014, at her home in Devon, Kan. She was born June 25, 1943 in Burbank, Calif., to William and Freda Hawkins. She married Nolan Lee Julian on Dec. 17, 1960, and they began their family. She worked as a dietary supervisor in several nursing homes before retiring. Visiting Coffeyville shut out Fort Scott High School, 2-0, Tuesday in a Southeast Kansas League match at Ellis Park. With the victory, the Golden Tornado (1-2 SEK, 1-4 overall) broke a tie for last place in the SEK with the Tigers (0-5, 0-9). Fort Scott has lost 10 straight matches going back to last season. Due to a lack of players, Prairie View was forced to cancel a freshmen football game against Fort Scott High School which was to be played October 9 at Prairie View. MOUND CITY -- Uniontown volleyball continued its road swing, playing in a Three Rivers League quadrangular at Jayhawk- Linn Tuesday.
