CHANUTE -- Three Fort Scott High School athletes won first-place medals in four events at the Thad Clements Invitational here Friday. Katren Rienbolt won the girls' 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs for the Tigers. Local contractor wants share of county work

A request was made to the Bourbon County Commissioners Monday to change the policy regarding the installation of whistles on county property. Kevin "Skitch" Allen attended the meeting to plead his case for individual contractors like himself. Instead of allowing contractors to do the work, the county installs and maintains culverts.
