Deb Martin saw an ad in the paper asking for volunteers to greet students at a school. Martin, age 58, answered that ad. "I showed up, liked doing it, told Marianna (Daugherty, Winfield Scott Elementary principal) I could be there everyday, if they wanted me to, unless I was sick or something came up," Martin said.
