Dr. David Arthur Otto, 79, formerly of Fort Scott, Kan., died in Charlotte, N.C., early Thursday morning Jan. 16, 2014. Arrangements for David Otto are incomplete and will be announced later by the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.

Workers take advantage of warmer temperatures and sunshine Wednesday at the site of a new Pump 'n Pete's building located north of its current store at 1920 S. Main St. The new building is slated to be completed by March 1, depending on weather.
