Suspect leads officers on high speed chase out of town

Local law enforcement authorities were led on a high-speed chase through parts of Fort Scott and Bourbon County Thursday afternoon. Officials said Thursday that officers with the Fort Scott Police Department and Bourbon County Sheriff's Office pursued a maroon Jeep Grand Cherokee through portions of town and the county in a chase that took place about 4 p.m. and at points reached 100 mph, according to police scanner reports of the incident...
