Witnesses testified Friday morning about a troubled marriage between Brent and Brenna Bollinger. Brent Bollinger is accused of killing Brenna by setting their house on fire on Oct. 13, 2011. Bollinger and his then 2-year-old son, Bryson, survived the house fire at 2166 Grand Road. The body of his wife, Brenna Bollinger, 23, was found in the fire...

ALTAMONT -- Fort Scott senior Katren Rienbolt finished in second place in the girls' junior varsity race at the season-opening Labette County Invitational here Thursday. Rienbolt, the defending Class 4A State champion, finished the 3,200-meter course in 17 minutes, 43.39 seconds. Callie Logue of Girard was the winner in 17:43.39. Jenny O'Bryan of St. Paul finished third as the only other runner under 18 minutes in 17:55.80...

PARSONS -- Senior Jake Durossette scored five touchdowns here Friday night to lead Fort Scott High to its 22nd consecutive victory over Parsons, 57-13. Durossette scored Fort Scott's first three touchdowns on first-quarter runs of 1 and 25 yards and a second-quarter rush of 14 yards.
