Cities may join forces to combat nuisance issues

The Bronson City Council has been working to rehabilitate houses in the community, rather than condemn and tear them down. An independent committee was formed in the town and work began on a housing rehabilitation survey from the Kansas Department of Commerce to investigate funds for rehabilitating houses in need of major repair in the city. Monday's regular monthly USD 235 Board of Education meeting saw the retirement or resignation of several teachers in the district, hirings to fill those positions and the approval of a negotiations offer to be sent to teachers in the district.
