The Fort Scott Modern Woodmen of America Chapter recently donated $1,000 to the Christmas Basket Program, which provides turkeys and trimmings to make holiday meal baskets that are distributed to needy area residents. A 12-inch steel water main near Fort Scott Industrial Park on U.S. 69 sprang a 2 inch hole Saturday, causing a 30-foot geyser of water to shoot up into the air.
