FORT SCOTT, Kan. -- After a brief discussion, the Bourbon County Commission voted to deny a request for a county-wide burn ban. Bourbon County Emergency Manager Keith Jeffers, along with Bourbon County Rural Fire District No. 3 Coordinator Delwin Mumbower, requested a two-week burn ban during Friday morning's gathering.
