Fort Scott High School's basketball games versus Parsons, scheduled for to be held at the FSHS gymnasium Tuesday night, have been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 21. Fort Scott's doubleheader was one of eight in the Southeast Kansas, Three Rivers and Pioneer leagues that were postponed Tuesday. The only other area school to be affected was Pleasanton, which scheduled a TRL doubleheader versus Crest for February 17. Uniontown and Jayhawk-Linn were not scheduled to play Tuesday...

Proposed reductions in state aid could hit USD 234 smack in the general fund. District Business Manager Tiffany Forester discussed the possibility of cuts in state aid for the remainder of the 2010-11 school year and for the 2011-12 school year at Monday's board meeting.
