Land, property disputes focus of FSHNS tour

Vandals strike golf course

A recent incident could leave many local golfers unhappy as the Fort Scott Golf Course has been forced to temporarily close its back nine holes to repair greens that were vandalized. Between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday, vandals used a vehicle of some kind to cause upwards of $60,000 worth of damage to the greens on the 5th, 14th, and 15th holes, according to Fort Scott Golf Course owner Pat Carney.
