Record month for claim recoveries

The Kansas Insurance Department had a record month in September for insurance claim recoveries for consumers, Commissioner Sandy Praeger announced Wednesday. The department's Consumer Assistance Division recovered nearly $4.5 million during the month through disputed claims from insurance companies. Recovery funds to jump start work on National

National Avenue will be getting a facelift in the next five years. Work has begun this week on the resurfacing of National Avenue from Linker to Wall streets, a project that is being funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act through the Kansas Department of Transportation.
