Suspects enter plea agreements

Two local residents, who were arrested in September after a brief police chase, entered into plea agreements this week. The following is according to Bourbon County court records: On Sept. 29, Jay Clements and Staci Clements, both of Fort Scott, were apprehended after the vehicle they were riding in led local officers on a vehicular pursuit, according to a previous press release from the Fort Scott Police Department...

Saturday shows to return in April

The local tradition of Saturday evening concerts at Memorial Hall will be resurrected beginning in April. Branson, Mo. residents Shawn and Collette Pittman, will be hosting the Fort Scott Jamboree, a county-music variety show at Memorial Hall. The show will be held every Saturday beginning April 4.
