R. Joyce Lucke, 78, of rural Girard, passed away Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at her home. She was born May 22, 1930, at Fort Scott, Kan., to Ralph and Hazel (Cummings) Lockwood. Joyce was employed in the insurance industry for the majority of her career, with the exception of the time she spent at home with her children. Kirby Wayne Murrow, age 55, a resident of Mapleton, Kan., died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo.
