Tigers win home tennis tournament

Fort Scott High School's tennis team won its home tournament Saturday, winning a tie-breaker with league rivals Pittsburg and Coffeyville. The Tigers, Pittsburg and Coffeyville each had nine points in the final tally of the five-team affair. 'Hounds move into second place as streak continues

Fort Scott Community College's winning streak was at 13 games after a pair of sweeps --which included three consecutive shutouts -- over the weekend. It's the longest winning streak -- the only one in double digits -- for FSCC baseball in a decade. With the sweeps, Fort Scott moved ahead of Johnson County into second place with a division record of 21-9 and an overall mark of 31-16. ...
