CHANUTE -- Fort Scott High's softball team scored 28 runs in a sweep of Chanute in a Southeast Kansas League doubleheader there Thursday. At Iola, Pittsburg gained a sweep of the Fillies and won its first SEK softball title, finishing 9-1 in the SEK. The Tigers ended up in second place at 10-2 with an overall record of 11-3, the same as the Purple Dragons.
