One man charged, another arrested in child rape case

The Bourbon County Attorney's Office filed charges on Tuesday against a Fort Scott man for the alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl. Another man also potentially faces charges in the rape of a 14-year-old girl. Matt R. Sisney, 19, has been charged with three felony counts of rape. Court documents allege that he raped the 13-year-old on three separate occasions. The acts allegedly occurred on April 2; sometime between April 2 and April 27, and on April 28, according to court records...

Ty Clearwater, a freshman on the Fort Scott Community College Rodeo Team from LaCygne, competed in the bull riding last weekend at Durant, Okla., despite some rather challenging injuries this season. Clearwater had a strong lead in the point standings of the Central Plains Region going into the Fort Scott Rodeo in mid March.
