Glenn W. Travis, age 86, of Cherokee, passed away on April 9, 2007 at the St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri. He was born December 28, 1920 in Fort Scott, the son of Joe R. and Emma L. (Denny) Travis. On October 16, 1948 he was united in marriage to Eunice M. French in Fairland, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on November 4, 1983. Glenn served during WW II from 1944-1946 in the Navy in the South Pacific aboard the USS LST 652 and 473...
