100 YEARS AGO (1906) The hundredth anniversary of the unfurling of the American Flag in Kansas will be celebrated by the Grand Army Post and Women's Relief Corps at the Grand Army Hall Friday evening. A nice program has been arranged. Charley Tidwell, who for many years was a porter on the Missouri Pacific west from this city, has been laying up for a rainy day and he will start overland the first of the week for southwest Missouri to make his home on a quarter section of land which he bought a couple of years ago with his savings. ...
