Hard to Please Everybody
I've enjoyed photographing Fort Scott High School activities for several years, first as a staffer at the Tribune and now more in a freelance fashion. Just like in any job, there is always someone who thinks they know how to do the job better. Some of these comments are from nice people who honestly want you to improve. Others, not so much.
I found out today that someone has a problem with how I photograph the local high school sports, more specifically the Lady Tigers basketball and softball games. After reading the letter I laughed uncontrollably for quite some time. Evidently I'm part of a conspiracy to promote one of the players because of personal issues. Most of my life I've always been one who enjoys a good conspiracy. This instance....there is no conspiracy. There are no personal issues to even consider.
If you have a problem, address it with me. Don't send an anonymous letter in hopes of smearing my name and calling me out to the public. If you've got a problem with a photograph or a selection of photographs then stop me at one of the games and tell me your issue. If I can do something to help I will try.
